Something meaningful is taking shape. Monsignor Agustin Ancajas, Chair of the Cebu Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communication (CACoSCo), is currently working on his second book, with Santo Niño de Cebu Publishing House (SNPH) as its publisher.

A recent meeting brought together Msgr. Ancajas, Rev. Fr. John Ion Miranda, OSA, Ms. Carmelita Egot, Deputy Director of PADO (Philippine Augustinians Development Office Inc.), and Ms. Arly M. Deiparine, SNPH Assistant Project Coordinator, along with Ms. Haidee Palapar, Head Consultant of CACoSCo. The discussion focused on how the book can contribute to the preservation and promotion of Cebuano culture and the arts, and how it can serve as a tangible resource for evangelization and catechetical teaching, one of the many meaningful facets of CACoSCo’s broader mission of communicating the faith in all its forms.

The meeting was truly promising. When a people’s story is told through the lens of faith, the Word does not just inform. It transforms. Watch out for this one.
