A canonical visitation of the communities and residences of the province was conducted by the Order’s Prior General last November 28 to December 18, 2017.
Fr. Alejandro Moral Anton, OSA along with Fr. Anthony N. Banks, OSA, the Assistant General for Asia – Pacific and Fr. Melchor L. Mirador, OSA, Provincial Counselor visited the different community houses which happens only once in every Prior General’s term of six years.
During the visit, Fr. Moral had a dialogue with each friar followed by a conference for the whole community.
Moreover, Fr. Banks reviewed each of the community’s book of acts, financial reports (Treasurer’s and Procurator’s books), and the book of masses.
The main purpose of the canonical visitation is the renewal of Augustinian life among the communities of the Province wherein the Prior General challenged the friars to become prophets of the contemporary world by living out the Augustinian charism of community life.
