MATI CITY, DAVAO ORIENTAL – In a significant milestone for faith and community, Colegio San Agustin – Mati (CSA-Mati) officially commenced the construction of the Sto. Niño Chapel with a blessing ceremony for construction equipment on February 12, 2025.

The blessing was led by Rev. Fr. Elmer E. Ebol, OSA, Spiritual Director of CSA-Mati, with the assistance of Rev. Fr. Leo Mario F. Singco, OSA. The ceremony not only marked the start of construction but also served as a collective prayer for the project’s safety and smooth completion.

The event was attended by officers and members of the Cofradia del Sto. Niño de Cebu – Mati Chapter, CSA-Mati representatives, and the community friars, reflecting the strong unity and shared commitment to faith. Fr. Singco emphasized that the chapel will stand as a testament to faith and togetherness, serving as a place of worship and a venue for school and community gatherings.

As the construction progresses, the chapel is envisioned as a beacon of faith and renewal, particularly in this Jubilee of Hope year, inspiring the community with strength and encouragement.

CSA-Mati extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to this initiative and calls for continued prayers and support to ensure the successful completion of the Sto. Niño Chapel. (from CSA-Mati Facebook Page)
