The Order’s Prior General conducted a canonical visitation of the communities and residences of the province from November 28 to December 18, 2017.

Fr. Alejandro Moral Anton, OSA, along with Fr. Anthony N. Banks, OSA, Assistant General for Asia-Pacific, and Fr. Melchor L. Mirador, OSA, Provincial Counselor, visited the various community houses. This visitation takes place only once every six years during the Prior General’s term.

During the visit, Fr. Moral engaged in individual dialogues with each friar and held a conference for the entire community. Fr. Banks also reviewed each community’s book of acts, financial reports (including the Treasurer’s and Procurator’s books), and the book of Masses.

The Prior General aimed to renew Augustinian life among the communities of the Province. He challenged the friars to become prophets of the contemporary world by living out the Augustinian charism of community life.
