In an effort to foster collaboration among lay organizations and affiliates in all Augustinian communities in Central Visayas, the Zonal Meeting of Affiliates, Lay Organizations, and Volunteers of Augustinian Communities and Institutions took place today, March 28, 2025, at the Aula Magna of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.

The evening commenced with registration and dinner, followed by the opening prayer. Afterward, Rev. Fr. Danilo Carido, OSA, the Zonal Coordinator of Central Visayas and Mindanao, delivered his opening remarks, in which he explained the rationale behind the meeting.

A key highlight of the program was the briefing for attendees on the nature, underlying principles, and plans of action of the Commission on Augustinian Affiliates and Laity. This session aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of each organization’s role in furthering the Augustinian charism and identity.

The meeting concluded with an orientation on the profiling of each organization, which was explained in detail by Ms. Maylen A. Licatan, RGC, RPm, an affiliate of the Province and a current member of the Augustinian Asia-Pacific Laity Core Group.
