About the Publishing House

The Sto. Niño de Cebu Publishing House (SNPH) is an initiative of the Philippine Augustinians Development Office Inc. (PADO), the technical service arm of the Province of the Augustinian Order in the Philippines. SNPH aims to propagate the Catholic faith while at the same time serving the Augustinian mission areas from its revenues. The house publishes Trade Books or Literary works, relevant studies and researches from the Augustinian institutions of learning and from duly selected authors for its social mission. The house also ventures into publishing of materials, such as Textbooks, Manuals and Books for theology subjects that has captured market from Augustinian schools and parishes. Apart from the printing needs, the publishing house foresees in the long-term to be a one stop shop for all publishing needs- editing, book design and marketing. The revenue generated from SNPH will be used to support the mission areas.

Who manages the publishing house?

Currently, SNPH is managed by the Management Committee headed by Fr. Jose Rene C.
Delariarte, OSA, the Executive Director of the Philippine Augustinians Development Office Inc.
(PADO). He is assisted by Carmelita “Mimi” Egot, the Deputy Executive Director of PADO who
supervises SNPH’s fulltime staff – Assistant Project Coordinator, Ms. Cinderella C. Demecillo. In
coordinating with the Editors, Proofreaders, Layout Artists, and Printers and in doing admin,
sales and marketing of books and published materials,

Ginlubad sa Hiligaynon  ni Alice M. Sun-Cua 

A Spanish novel translated to Hiligaynon. It is the story of Andrea, an 18-year-old girl who left her life in the province to live with her relatives in Barcelona to study in the university in the early forties. The story is set just after the end of the Spanish Civil War (1936 – 1939), a bloody war that pitted brother against brother, friends against friends.

SNPH in collaboration with Santo Nino Augustinian Social Development Foundation (SNAF), the implementing arm of OSA’s Justice and Peace Commission reprinted this booklet for distribution to the farmers in its Cebu mission areas.
