The community of Colegio San Agustin – Biñan (CSA-Biñan) recently conducted their annual Visita Iglesia on March 9 and 10, 2023, visiting seven churches in Bulacan and Pampanga. Led by the prior, Rev. Fr. Wilson Capellan, OSA, the group was accompanied by five friars of the community and a simply professed friar.
The community visited the Holy Rosary Parish Church in Angeles City, Pampanga, the Sta. Monica Parish Church in San Nicolas, Minalin, Pampanga, the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan, the San Guillermo Parish Church in Bacolor, Pampanga, the Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church in Sta. Rita, Pampanga, the St. James the Apostle Parish Church in Guagua, Pampanga, and the San Agustin Church in Lubao, Pampanga.
The community also added the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in San Fernando, Pampanga, bringing the total number of churches visited to eight. The group prayed, offered intentions, and spent time in contemplation at each church.
The Visita Iglesia is a significant tradition in the Catholic Church, especially during the Lenten season, and provides an opportunity for the faithful to deepen their faith and connection with the community through prayer and reflection.
