“Hope for the Land and the Poor” Pope Francis
On February 25, 2023, the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation Commission of the Asia-Pacific Augustinian Conference (APAC-JPIC) hosted a webinar on Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.
The webinar was moderated by Rev. Fr. Peter Jones, OSA, Prior Provincial of the Province of Australiasia.
In attendance were the representatives of the member-congregations from the Augustinian Recollect Sisters, Kongregasi Suster Santo Augustinus Dari Kerahiman Allah of Ketapang, Indonesia; Augustinian Assumptions, Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, Augustinian Provinces of Australia, Sto. Niño-Cebu and Most Holy Name – Philippines.
Representing the Province was Rev. Fr. John Ion Miranda, OSA, chairman of the Commission Justice and Peace of the Province and Director of Santo Niño-Augustinian Development Foundation, Inc.
They presented the different justice and peace activities of their respective congregations. Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Christian Buenafe, O’Carm, gave a synthesis on the event.
