On October 14, 2022, the Colegio San Agustin – Biñan unveiled its new archives, cementing its commitment to preserving its rich history and providing a space for academic exploration. The ceremony was graced by the presence of school president Rev. Fr. Wilson A. Capellan, OSA, along with school teachers and personnel.
The archives project, a long-anticipated endeavor, was blessed and inaugurated in response to the school’s vision of establishing a permanent repository for invaluable school documents and pertinent materials. Fr. Capellan, who has been a driving force behind the initiative, emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, “The project is a response to the program of the School to have a permanent place for valuable School documents and pertinent materials for safekeeping.”
The newly opened archives occupy two spacious floors and feature meticulously designed interiors that provide a fitting home for an extensive collection of historical records, documents, and artifacts that trace the school’s journey over the years. Beyond preserving the past, the archives embrace the future with an adjacent office fully equipped with high-speed internet connectivity.
