The Colegio del Santo Niño (CSN) educative community – Augustinian friars, lay administrators, staff, PTA, Alumni, and students – actively joined the observance of the Season of Creation Month last September 30, 2023.
Held at the Santo Niño Spirituality Center, Consolacion, Cebu, the stakeholders engaged in the activities set by the event organizers, the Bugway Community Development Office of CSN.
The program commenced with a presentation on Reforestation, featuring Forester Franklin S. Piad Jr. as the keynote speaker.
During the session, the group gained valuable knowledge about various plant species and their roles within the ecosystem.
Additionally, the talk raised awareness about the declining state of forests in the Philippines, providing us with enlightening insights.
Following the informative session, the CSN community came together to plant the seedlings.
After completing the planting, they distributed school supplies to some children in Tolo-Tolo, Consolacion.
The school supplies came from the donations of the students, which they also packed by themselves.
The event’s conclusion involved expressing gratitude to the Lord through the Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Anacleto Morales III, OSA, presided over the mass.
