Augustinian friars from Colegio San Agustin (CSA) -Bacolod officially held the transfer of residence of the Centro Sant’ Agostino – Benedicto Retreat House at Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
Four friars are set to stay in the retreat house and supervise its operations starting October 1, 2021 on the Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus.
The official transfer of residence was highlighted with a Eucharistic celebration attended by the members of the CSA Bacolod community and the incoming assigned friars.
Rev. Fr. Elmer Lendo, OSA is the retreat house administrator accompanied by three other friars namely: Fray Leo Jallorina, OSA, Fr. Alfredo Jubac, OSA, and Fr. Vincent Liwag, OSA.
Originally, they were scheduled to stay since July 1, 2021 during the change of assignments for the term 2021-2024.
However, the retreat house was still under renovation and improvements.
Since 2019, the CSA – Bacolod community has been the administrator of the retreat house which provides a place for the school’s growing student population to cater to their spiritual needs.
With the formal turnover, it gained autonomy from the school and was made an Augustinian residence.
