Congratulations to Rev. Fr. Donato Ellezar, OSA, for being elected as the new counselor of the Province of Santo Niño de Cebu-Philippines. His election fills the vacancy left by Provincial Counselor, Rev. Fr. Melchor Mirador, OSA, who had been appointed to the community of the Curia Generalizia Augustiniana in Rome.
Very Rev. Fr. Alejandro Moral Anton, OSA, Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine, confirmed his election in a letter sent to the Prior Provincial, Rev. Fr. Andres Rivera, Jr., OSA, last June 2, 2022.
Fr. Donato Ellezar, OSA is now part of the six-friar counselors of the Province, including Rev. Fr. Frederick Comendador, OSA, Rev. Fr. Nelson Zerda, OSA, Rev. Fr. Sisinio Paderog, OSA, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte, OSA and Rev. Fr. Jonas Mejares, OSA.
Fr. Ellezar, at present, is assigned as procurator of the Sambag Residence in the University of San Agustin – Iloilo extension campus.
