Fr. Ian Wilson has been appointed as the new General Councilor of the Order of St. Augustine, according to a statement released by the Prior General, Fr. Alejandro Moral Antón, at the end of the Council’s February meeting.
Fr. Ian’s appointment was made with the consent of the Prior General’s Council and in accordance with No. 465 letter l of the Constitutions, as the Office was left vacant after the passing of Fr. Paul Graham, OSA. Fr. Ian Wilson, who belongs to the England-Scotland Province, has been chosen to fill the position.
Expressing gratitude for Fr. Ian’s willingness to serve, the Order extended its best wishes for a fruitful engagement in the service of the Order.
Fr. Ian Wilson’s appointment is expected to bring fresh insights and perspectives to the General Council and contribute to the growth and development of the Order of St. Augustine.
The Province of Santo Niño de Cebu also extends the warmest congratulations to Fr. Wilson’s new appointment.
