After years of initial formation, 5 friars of the Province professed their solemn vows last January 23, 2021 at San Agustin Center of Studies in Quezon City. The Prior Provincial, Fr. Andres D. Rivera, Jr., OSA presided at the Eucharistic celebration with the rite of solemn profession at 5.30 PM inside the oratory of the Saint Thomas of Villanova Hall (STVH).
Due to the current pandemic, only those residing inside SACS compound (STVH aspirants, simply professed friars, SACS friars and personnel) and some friars from nearby Luzon Communities were able to attend the celebration. Even the parents of the new solemnly professed friars were not able to attend this important celebration.
However, many viewers followed the celebration virtually because it was live streamed at the Province’s Official Facebook Page (Order of Saint Augustine – Province of Santo Niño de Cebu) and at San Agustin Center of Studies Mass Media Center’s FB Page and other media partners. Here’s the name of the five friars and their respective new assignments effective February 1, 2021:
- Fray Roner Martelino Anildes, OSA (assignment: Member of San Jose Community, Iloilo City) *New assignment effective February 9, 2021 – Acting Procurator of the University of San Agustin Community, Iloilo City.
- Fray Elmer Egoc Ebol, OSA (assignment: Member of Biñan Community, Biñan City, Laguna)
- Fray Jebie Ulleras Jugarap, OSA (assignment: Member of Mother of Good Counsel Parish Community, Chrysanthemum Village, San Pedro, Laguna)
- Fray Rey Cyril Cabiling Lagrosa, OSA (assignment: Member of Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod Community, Bacolod City)
- Fray John Louis Sodusta Ricamora, OSA (assignment: Member of the University of San Agustin Community, Iloilo City)
