On August 21 – 25, 2023, the 5th National Conference on the Ministry of Spiritual Liberation and Exorcism was held at the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) Convention Center Cebu.
Rev. Fr. Andres Rivera, Jr., OSA, Prior Provincial, Rev. Fr. Nelson Zerda, OSA, Rev. Fr. Basilio Sugata-on, OSA, and other Augustinian priests has been some of the participants together with over 300 priests and lay volunteers.
The conference was spearheaded by the Archdiocese of Manila Office of Exorcism (AMOE), in partnership with the Philippine Association of Catholic Exorcists (PACE) and the Archdiocese of Cebu Office of Deliverance and Exorcism (ACODE).
Most Rev. Jose S. Palma, DD, Archbishop of Cebu, presided over the opening mass along with AMOE, PACE and ACODE priests.
Esteemed speakers of the conference are Rev. Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia, Archdiocese of Manila, Chief Exorcist, Mr. Adam Blai, an expert in religious demonology and exorcism and Mr. Francesco Scarsella, PhD, author of the book “Infernalia: How to detect Satanic contents in the Media.”
During the closing of the conference, Most Rev. Midyphil P. Billones, DD, Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu, presided over the eucharistic celebration.
