Rev. Fr. Nestor Bandalan Jr., OSA is the new Provincial Secretary of the Province of Santo Niño de Cebu – Philippines. He fills the Office left by Rev. Fray John Paul Mabanta, OSA, who suddenly died last 5 August 2022 due to cardiac arrest. Most Rev. Fray Alejandro Moral Anton, OSA, Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine, confirmed his appointment.
Fray Bandalan is a member of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu Community and, at the same time, the secretary and archivist of the community and the Basilica. He is also the archivist of the Province.
As he officially works as the secretary of the Province, he will remain a member of the Basilica community.
The information was announced to the members of the Province last 16 August 2022 through e-mail communication.
While still grieving and praying for the loss of our brother, let us also pray for Fray Bandalan that he may remain steadfast in his new Office with several tasks at hand.
